If a number is still a guess, label it. A confident total your assistant converted overnight is how you get a yes you cannot pay.
Ask for a decision: A, B, or neither (look again, knowing the deposit date). That is the ballot. "What do you think about housing" is a memoir.
One owner at home
Name who must say yes — the person on the bank account, or the partner who will visit, or both if both must sign. Two unnamed adults in one message is how you get a maybe from each.
Give a deadline that matches the deposit, and say what you will do if they stay quiet: you will take A, or you will take the official dorm. An honest default beats a hopeful stall.
If they want to read the thread later without an assistant, they can use the account portal. Sign-in is an emailed code. There is no password.

You draft. You read the numbers. You confirm the send. A housing cost under your name is not auto-mailed.

If they block you, the block is silent. Use the phone number you already have and the default you wrote.
